Manage and lead all undergraduate and graduate curricular matters within the area of music education; serve as the program manager and primary liaison to Teachers College and the Office of Teacher Education Services and Clinical Practice; and work in tandem with professional academic advisors to track music education student retention, progress toward degree completion, and all Decision Points and Professional Education expectations. Work in tandem with the professional academic advisor within the Division of Online and Strategic Learning (DOSL) to mentor and guide all OL MM in MUSE students through enrollment processes, curricular requirements, capstone experiences, oral exit exams, and degree completion. Organize and process student teaching eligibility, interviews, and placements, and mentor students through the application process. Serve as the primary faculty mentor and complete yearly evaluations of teaching for both TT and NTL faculty, manage course offerings, and assign faculty loads within the area. Meet with prospective music education majors and their families and work with the School of Music Administration in recruiting efforts.
